What are the communication methods of CPU200CN series PLCs?

PLC S7-200CN series PLC adopts an internally integrated PPI interface (RS485 feature), which can form a PPI network, an MPl network and a network composed of free communication ports. Let's elaborate on them separately. 1. Form a PPI network. Baud rates of 9.6 kbit/s, 19.2 kbit/s and 187 are used. 

The S7-200CN series PLC adopts an internally integrated PPI interface (RS485 feature), which can form a PPI network, an MPl network and a network composed of free communication ports. Let's elaborate on them separately. 

1. Form a PPI network. Baud rates of 9.6 kbit/s, 19.2 kbit/s and 187.5 kbit/s are used. PPI communication protocol is commonly used in S7-200 CN series PLCs. A common two-core shielded twisted pair cable can be used to achieve network connectivity. As mentioned in the previous article, it also adopts the token transfer method (if you are unclear, you can read my other articles), and there can be up to 31 stations composed of PLC CPU200CN, panels or host computers (inserted MPl cards) (and without the participation of repeaters); 

2. Form a PLC MPl network. Using a baud rate of 19.2k/187.5kbit/s as a slave, it can communicate with the S7-300/S7-400 CPU, but as a slave PLC200CN the CPU cannot communicate with each other;

3. Network in the form of free communication port. The baud rate used is up to 38.4kbit/s (adjustable), and communication protocols such as ASCII can be customized, and can communicate with any device with serial ports such as modems, PC hosts, frequency converters, barcode readers, printers, etc.; 

4. Form a PROFIBUS-DP network. For example, PLC CPU224CN, 222CN, 224XP CN, and 226CN can be networked. This network transmission rate is still acceptable, with a maximum transmission rate of 12Mbit/s. Of course, this needs to add an EM277 expansion module (this content is unclear, please refer to my previous article).
