As equipment managers, sometimes we want to refer to and analyze the PLC program structure of others, or back up the PLC program of the equipment, and download the PLC program from the device to the local computer to prevent various problems of the equipment in the future. For example, in a maintenance team, someone who wants to take a shortcut to take a shortcut for night shift maintenance modifies the PLC program, but the level is limited and the modification is incorrect. Therefore, this backup copy PLC program is very important. After uploading the PLC program to our own computer, we can view and analyze it at any time. (If you check it briefly, you can use the online viewing and monitoring function in the programming software.) The following is to share with you the knowledge of copying and backing up PLC programs in the hardware CPU.

First, open the corresponding PLC program programming software in your computer, if it is a Siemens PLC, open the corresponding programming software of Siemens, and if it is a Mitsubishi PLC, open the corresponding software of the Mitsubishi PLC. Here we take Siemens PLC S7-300 as an example. After opening, create a new blank project as shown in Figure 1:

Then connect the CPU interface of the computer and PLC with a communication cable with a corresponding USB/MPI (PPI or CP card corresponding to other types of CPUs, etc.) adapter (if you are not sure about the communication, you can pay attention to me to read other articles); then click the PLC programming software options menu - set PG/PC interface, and configure the communication data parameters of the interface;

Then find the menu bar and click PLC - upload the site to PG as shown in Figure 2 below: PLC编程

Then click the display button (showing the address of the selectable node) - select the PLC CPU you want to upload the program to - 0K. This will allow you to upload the program to your computer.

Uploading PLC programs requires friends to pay attention to the fact that if the program is encrypted, it cannot be uploaded, and the uploaded PLC program does not come with annotations and symbol tables. We can refer to the uploaded PLC program structure (such as hardware configuration, etc.), and we can also diagnose the fault of the device.
